Check your hearing in just a few minutes.
This screening plays soft tones at seven pitches in each ear and maps your results on an audiogram — the same chart a hearing professional uses. For the most reliable result, four things help:
- 1Use headphones or earbuds. Wired or Bluetooth both work. They let us test each ear on its own.
- 2Find a quiet room. Background noise hides the softest tones and skews the result.
- 3Set a comfortable volume on the next step, then leave it alone for the whole test.
- 4Give it your full attention. Some tones are faint and easy to miss.
Please note: this is a hearing screening, not a medical diagnosis. Online results depend on your headphones, device, and room, so they cannot replace a professional hearing evaluation. If anything concerns you, follow up with a hearing professional.

How are you listening?
This tunes the test to your equipment. For the most accurate result by ear, headphones or earbuds let us test each side on its own.
Step 1 of 3 · Set your level
First, set a comfortable volume.
Press play for a steady tone. Using your device's volume control, set it to a comfortable medium level — not loud. Then don't change your volume again for the rest of the test.
Step 2 of 3 · Find your softest tone
Now we'll set your baseline.
We'll play a tone and make it quieter and quieter. Tell us each time whether you can still hear it. This finds the softest sound you can detect and calibrates the whole test to your hearing.

Make sure your left and right are not swapped. Press each button and confirm the sound comes from the matching ear.
