I recently lost complete hearing in my left at age 61. I tried a series of steroid shots in my left ear. I finally had to accept the HA option and I chose Oticon Real 1 cross. I tried them for a week without an audiologist appointment. Not good, after the audiologist programming I haven’t been the same.
I really like them a lot thank you very much however, the lead cables into the ear are a little short
Good pricing and Service.
Work fine, both!
The sound is sharp, they're comfortable, and I can finally hear every word again. Takes some adjusting at first but be patient. Overall worth every penny.
After weeks of hearing about the Oticon Real hearing aids I committed to trying them out. All in all these are great. I tried the widex hearing aids and these are a significant improvement when in noisy environments. - Thomas
Pretty new to hearing aids, but I did try out a signia hearing aid and this was an improvement.
When I was an airline dispatcher at Mesaba Airlines there was a senior maintenance controller who wore hearing aids. He is a smart gentleman and he gave me some advice about hearing aids part of which was that there is no such thing as really good hearing aids. That was a dozen years before I got my first pair: these Opticons. I had lowered expectations when I got them so when they turned out to be very good I was surprised. My audiologist explained that in the last several years the state of the art with hearing aids has improved significantly. And so it would seem. To be fair I do occasionally hear sound as being artificial but more often I forget I'm wearing them. I find the cellphone app helpful because sometimes I lower the volume when there's a lot of background noise. That helps. Sometimes it helps to turn it up. So I have control over the quality of sound. These are my first pair but I wouldn't be interested in any other model. I've had these for a month.
